23 October 2026
- Chat in multiplayer. Talk to the other players in the lobby and during the match: press Enter (or tap the speech-bubble button) to type. Messages are limited to 200 characters.
- Main-menu music. A new original, synthesised war theme plays on the menu: strings and war drums that build into a full brass assault. Turn it off or change its volume in Settings.
- Wall level plates. Each base now shows its wall level on a plate next to the gate, like the level plates on the factories.
- The battle clips behind the menu now always start on solid ground, never in a river.
22 October 2026
- The game is now called Hardpoint and lives at playhardpoint.com. Your existing saves, statistics and sign-in carry over.
- Added this site: a how to play guide, a units guide with every vehicle's numbers, this page, an about page, a terms of service and a privacy policy.
21 October 2026
- Phone and tablet layout. The top bar is much more compact so the map gets more of the screen, the minimap moves to the top right so it no longer covers the unit commands, and the full instructions for a selected group are shown inside the command bar, with touch wording.
- Production warnings (not enough resources, base busy, group limit) now appear in the middle of the screen, flash a few times, and show above everything. This works in multiplayer too.
- New helicopters now take five seconds to lift off, rising from the middle of their pad.
- Hardening of touch controls so panning and pinch-zoom cannot get stuck after a lost finger.
20 October 2026
- Multiplayer is here. Sign in, create a room and share the five-letter code. Up to ten seats per match, with AIs filling empty seats, any normal game mode, and a new Humans vs AI mode. Each player sees only what their own units see. If you disconnect, an AI plays your seat until you come back.
- Multiplayer matches have sound, battle reports for each player, and a rematch button on the end screen that restarts on the same map.
- Accounts and cloud saves. Sign in with Google or email and your three save slots, lifetime statistics and achievements follow you between devices. Guests can still play every AI mode.
- New main menu with Continue, New game, Saved games, a tutorial mission, Settings, Statistics (with per-vehicle built, killed, lost and kill/death ratios), 14 achievements and Credits. When no game is running, silent battle clips play behind it: tank fights, base assaults and helicopter raids.
- Groups now stand in a 3 by 3 block by default, and the first group at a base parks just below the vehicle bay.
- Scout helicopters see much farther, and helicopters now cost mostly composites.
- Click a base while zoomed out to zoom in on it. Hovering a base on the minimap tells you what it is, and helicopter bases hidden in the fog now look like helicopter bases.
- Helicopter bases are spread farther apart, neutral bases can fill the corners of the map, and every base is placed fully on the map.
- Helicopters under construction are shown at their real size inside a scaffold.
- Fixed a freeze in multiplayer after moving a vehicle through trees, stale red markers on the minimap, and battle clips that stopped moving after a few seconds.
19 October 2026
- The Leopard tank is now drawn from 3D renders at sixteen angles, with a pennant showing the owner's colour.
- Terraces and cliffs on high ground, relief shading for the ground, and vehicles that pass behind trees.
- Groups now stop where they are when their attack target is destroyed or captured, and stay at a base they capture.
18 October 2026
- A visual pass on the bases: weathered floors, redrawn factories, hangar and command building, new flag, barrel pyramid, smokestack and silos.
